Fall In The Smokies
We visited a few old friends on this wet and rainy day. The Oconaluftee River runs along 441 on the Cherokee side of GSMNP. The river cascades are dressed in their fall colors. Lufty Baptist Church at Smokemont Campground is a special place. Just being within those walls you can hear the old hymns and feel that “Old Time Religion.” Balsam Mountain with the clouds, rain and colors was a real treat. This will all be gone soon as winter sets in.
