White Sands National Park & Lincoln National Forest
White Sands is the largest gypsum dunes field in the world. A interesting place to visit. Lincoln National Forest is in contrast to the desert floor below. At 8670 ft. the cool breezes blow through pines and aspen trees. Deer and elk wander the forest along with wolf, bear and cougars. The lights of El Paso, Texas can be seen from the mountains.
