Bears and Wildflowers
On yet another drive through Cade's Cove we had driven almost all the way around when I stopped to shoot a landscape. With camera on the tripod and the wide angle lens mounted I walk from my parking spot. Almost there this bear steps out of the woods right where I was heading. I turned around and hurried back to change the lens and settings. After the bear had had enough of its encounter with people and wandered off I shot my landscape. On our way out of the loop this fawn stopped traffic to cross the road. After looking in both directions it scampered into the woods. On our second trip through the Cove we found a bear with her four cubs feeding on berries. The cubs are so cute but hard to see in the tall brush. Their little heads would pop up every now and then. The meadows are getting really beautiful with wildflowers and Gladiolus left over from the days when this Cove was occupied by settlers.
