Roaring Fork Motor Trail & Elk At Oconaluftee
A cool day here in the Smoky Mountains. We decided to drive the Roaring Fork Motor Trail in Gatlinburg. A perfect day for shooting long exposure water shots with soft light. We just missed seeing a bear and her cub. They had just scampered across the creek and into the thick brush so all we saw were the leaves moving to announce their presence. On the return trip we passed Oconaluftee Visitors Center and as luck would have it the elk were out. The fading light made it difficult for my camera without running up the ISO to keep a decent shutter speed. You all know what that means, grainy images. My solution to that is create digital art images in Photoshop so you have a few of both in this project.
