In Search of Easter Snow
There was snow in the mountains and we set out to find it. US441 was closed from Cherokee to Gatlinburg. After watching the elk at Mingus Mill we decided to drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway. Snow began with a flake or two but the higher we climbed the thicker it became. We took Balsam Mountain off of the parkway as far as Mile High Campground. This was a treat for two long time Coastal Alabama folks. We had found our prize.
