Cascades, Landscapes, Flowers and Bears
An early afternoon drive towards Cade's Cove. My goal was to shoot exclusively with the 100-400 lens. I wanted to capture the detailed beauty that abounds in this area. The cascades are right beside the tunnel and was our first stop. Then off to Cade's Cove where a landscape caught my eye and caused a lens change to the 16-35. Then it was back to the big boy for more creative shots of the forest greenery. The Rhododendrons are beginning to really brighten up the green forest with their pink and white blooms. Momma Bear made an appearance with her two cubs. On the way out and along the road back to Townsend a big boy made a quick appearance on the shoulder of the road. He didn't hand around for photographs. In a flash he crossed the road and disappeared.
