Abrams Falls and Things Along The Way
My goal today was to hike to Abrams Falls. Along the way there were distractions that called for my attention. The cascades along the route, deep in the forest dark shadows and noticed by only a few. Once in Cade's Cove there was the morning mist on mountain landscapes trying their best to detain me from my goal. A trail running into the dark forest where light sneaks through the darkness to the forest floor. Then the distractions along the trail as I hiked the 2.5 miles toward my goal. Finally, I arrived but only after meeting new friends who shared the same goal, the trail and conversation as we walked. After saying goodbye I took a few more shots of the falls before starting my own way back to where it all began. Along the return there were more gentle distractions in the form of flowing waters and flora. Such was the journey for this day.
